- When I owned my A500 a few years ago I tried desperately to look for a
- cheap way to accelerate it, because after seeing my friends A3000/030 I
- wanted a faster machine. The 68010 IS pin compatible with the 68000, but
- you'll have to change the stepping rate on your disk drive (not something
- for the beginner) and secondly, you won't find THAT much of a speed
- increase evident. I also believe the the calculator program under 1.2/1.3
- (And possibly 2.0) will not work properly with the 68010. My advice is
- don't waste your time with putting a '010 in, you'd be better off
- shelling out a couple hundered bucks for a 020 card that sits on the CPU
- slot instead.
